Speech Scholarship
The Donald and Bonnie Hoenig Speech Scholarship is a scholarship fund of North Lee Community Foundation. Throughout her life, Bonnie J. Hoenig of Fort Madison Iowa, had a passion for children who experienced speech challenges in their education and life. The Donald and Bonnie Hoenig Speech Scholarship honors the life of Bonnie Hoenig by providing scholarships for students seeking a degree in Speech Therapy /Speech Pathology, or any related field.

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
The Donald and Bonnie Hoenig Speech Scholarship (s) will be awarded to students who are currently attending or have graduated from any school in Southeast Iowa, which includes the following counties: Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Lee, Louisa, and Van Buren. The Donald and Bonnie Hoenig Speech Scholarship will also accept applications from students residing in the Illinois Counties of Hancock, Henderson, and Adams. Finally, the Donald and Bonnie Hoenig Speech Scholarship will accept applications from students residing in the Missouri Counties of Clark and Lewis.
The scholarship applicant MUST BE PURSUING STUDIES in a degree in Speech Therapy/Speech Pathology or any related field at an accredited college or university. Each scholarship awarded could be worth up to $5,000 a year. The Donald and Bonnie Hoenig Speech Scholarship is a renewable scholarship for four years. Candidates for the Donald and Bonnie Hoenig Speech Scholarship should have maintained at least a 2.5 grade average in high school.
